This exhibition presents the work of two artists, Anna Glynn and Chen Chun Rong, by way of presenting contemporary concepts of Chinese ink, colour and brush work.
Speaking about the experience with the medium, Glynn says: “In 2008 I began to develop new works using traditional Chinese materials as well as incorporating traditional Western materials. These artworks fuse Chinese traditional ink painting techniques with a Western aesthetic to create an innovative contemporary style. My work includes animating these images and creating video works with layered collected sound and image”.
