EDGE: Peripheries of Practice

The exhibition is about working in the peripheries, both in a literal and abstract sense: the remote south, coastal edges, cutting edge practice. It is about how the seemingly infinite space of Bruny Island and southern Tasmania is understood through the artist’s eye. The artists’ works also explore artistically breaking new ground; moving beyond the thresholds of conventional space or place; testing the limits of materiality.

‘Edge: Peripheries of Practice’ is an arts collaboration with leading mainland Tasmanian and Bruny Island artists, curated by Caroline Rannersberger. Artists include: Geoff Dyer, Ian Parry, Tim Burns, Michaye Boulter, Jock Young, Caroline Rannersberger, Edward Arrowsmith, Sophie Carnell, and Lauren Harris.
