Design Gosia Wlodarczak

‘Frost Drawing’ by Gosia Wlodarczak is the final component to the artist’s project series based on her real-time performance work. Beginning in 2008 these expansive installations were drawn on-site using pigment pen on various glass surfaces including walls, entry doors and windows in galleries, art institutions and other locations both in Australia and overseas. Born of the visible surrounds of these environments each piece delivers a response to the particular space, time and present moment. The documentation of Wlodarczak’s projects in this book of photographs by Longin Sarnecki, texts by gallery curators and a collection of translucent pages detailing Mapping Loreto Mandeville, Frost Drawing (2016), is an important archive of works that have a limited physical existence.
