Curated by Anna Louise Richardson, ‘I WAS HERE’ comprises photographic and sculptural works reflecting on the continual remaking of history and our relationship to the past. Seven artists tackle fact, fiction, the forgotten and imagined; from buried villages to false narratives, disconnection to land to the unmapping of landmarks and pinhole
images of replaced historical icons to peepholes containing micro universes and their dystopic futures.

Artists include Tom Buckland, Wanda Gillespie, Kate McMillan, Yhonnie Scarce, Alex Seton, Amy Spiers and Robyn Stacey.
