Ian Dickinson & Margaret Heenan

The use of an abstract style gives artist, Ian Dickinson more freedom in the use of line, colour, texture, space and form. In his paintings he uses their interplay to hopefully achieve an aesthetic design while still retaining the identity of the location. His work is focused on the beauty and expanse of the Australian environment and our place within it. The reality and consequences of our impact provide another layer of interest.

Margaret Heenan explores the Australian landscape by exploiting glass as a surface on which to fuse and paint images using high fire enamels and frit glass. Imagery is painted under, between and on top of the layers of glass. Some of her kiln formed works are representational while others are abstract.
