Mira Gojak and Elizabeth Newman

Artists Mira Gojak and Elizabeth Newman exhibit together for the first time creating an alchemy that reveals formal and conceptual concerns in each other’s practice. While both have an individual take on late modernist ideas, Newman’s approach has been described as cool and questioning, in particular she challenges the limits and definition of her mediums which include painting, works on paper, photographs and garments, where Gojak’s line work is energetic and arabesque – expanding into and retreating back from the world.
