Troy Ruffels: Between Fire & Flood

Troy Ruffles was awarded the 2017 Devonport Regional Gallery Solo Commission and now presents a new body of work titled ‘Between Fire & Flood’. The exhibition investigates the landscape as a means to relay concerns about climate change, culture and our connection to the world. Reflecting on these works the artist says, “Developed landscape is treated as a subject matter through which I metaphorically navigate emotional states of being and our relationship to the environment at large.”
