Vivienne Binns: The Art of Life

For more than forty years Australian artist Vivienne Binns has worked across a range of media, processes and contexts. In this exhibition guest curator Dr Penny Peckham brings together works throughout Binns’ career in order to consider the significance of the autobiographical upon her practice. For Binns, art and life are inextricably linked and this exhibition will examine the ways in which personal relationships and experiences have influenced her work, both directly and indirectly – from the use of family photographs as direct source to the ways in which her research has at times taken the direction it has as a result of personal connections.
