Yhonnie Scarce: Harrowing Earth

Yhonnie Scarce works in glass to address the ongoing consequences of colonisation on Indigenous communities. Her latest exhibition, curated by Victoria Lynn, will focus on the removal and relocation of Aboriginal people from their homelands and the forcible removal of Aboriginal children from their families. Scarce considers her practice to be ‘politically motivated and emotionally driven’, fitting for the ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE festival which this event will parallel, raising awareness for the power of art to transform perception.
