C. J. Pyle and J.D. Ojeikere

C. J. Pyle is a musician working the live music circuit throughout the US Midwest. He drew as a release on the road, developing a weave technique of his own creation, using simple materials such as ballpoint pen and coloured pencil. His two colour portraits showcase the sharp humour and imagination of the American visual mind.

J.D. Ojeikere is a photographer dedicated to depicting Nigerian culture, whose work has become an important anthropological and ethnographic source. In these works he photographs the hairstyles of everyday Nigerians, whose sculptural forms are artworks in themselves.

These two exhibitions display expressive portraits of personality, highlighting the importance of having one’s own style.
