Debra Winn: Dance in Motion

Inspired by the mesmerising performances of Australian and New York dancers, this collection of works – monotypes, paintings and etchings spanning from 2011 to 2023 – captures the essence of renowned ballet productions, including Madame Butterfly, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Silver Rose. Each piece is a testament to Debra Winn’s profound connection with the world of dance, translating movement, light, and feeling onto canvas. Winn’s monotypes showcase the fluidity and dynamism of ballet, while her impactful oil paintings encapsulate the depth of emotion experienced during these performances.
