Ellen José Art Award for young women

The Ellen José Art Award for young women celebrates the creativity of young female artists in the early stages of their career and honours the legacy of Indigenous woman Ellen José (1951–2017), a pioneering artist, radical activist, and social justice campaigner. This year two artists were selected to share the prize for their equally outstanding and sophisticated works, Moorina Bonini for Gowidja (After), 2021, and Elham Eshraghian-Haakansson with edges of place, 2022. Both are on display alongside works by finalist artists Hannah Gartside, Nadia Hernández, Annika Romeyn and Emma Singer.
