HOME Bushfire Relief Art Auction Fundraiser

Over fifty of Australia’s leading and emerging contemporary artists will be included in the HOME Bushfire Relief Art Auction Fundraiser on 12 February 2020 at the National Art School, from 7-10pm.

Sydney’s creative community is working in solidarity to raise funds for the 2019/2020 Australian bushfire crisis with artists – including Abdul Abdullah, Tony Albert, Del Kathryn Barton, Rebecca Baumann, Consuelo Cavaniglia, Sarah Contos, Jenny Kee, Janet Laurence, Fiona Lowry, Kate Mitchell, Callum Morton, Nell, Jason Phu, Stanislava Pinchuk, Tom Polo, Ben Quilty, Reko Rennie, Joan Ross and Alex Seton – all donating works up for auction.

Steven Alderton, Director and CEO of National Art School, said: ‘The bushfires have been devastating for Australia. The National Art School is pleased to support the bushfire recovery through the HOME fundraiser efforts to address climate change, protect country through cultural fire and land management practices, re-establish habitats and look after native wildlife.’

Produced by Sam Watson Wood (Sydney Contemporary Director of Partnerships and Programs) and Rae Begley (Little Hero PR, Director and Artist), HOME will donate 100% of the profits earned from the sale of the works (which include new and existing works across the mediums of painting, photography and sculpture) as well as the monies earned from the entry by donation for the one-night only public event to WWF Australia, Climate Council and Firesticks Alliance.

Silent auction works open for bidding online from Tuesday 4 February and closes Wednesday 12 February at 10pm, works can be viewed online and at the event.

The independent fundraiser includes an online opportunity to bid as well as the live event in partnership with Aon, National Art School and Sydney Contemporary.
