As part of the Darwin Festival program NCCA is hosting ‘Open Cut’, an exhibition featuring photographic portraits by Therese Ritchie and paintings by Jacky Green. Together these two artists along with anthropologist Sean Kerins will represent Garawa voices from Borroloola, on the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory. These works respond to the adverse effect that mining and development have on their Country.
