As is a common condition of city living, one day, artist Jamie North looked out his window and observed a luxury apartment development coming together. However, as the project progressed he noticed the swamp below its site would reassert itself, filling the earthworks with water, delaying construction and attracting bird life. This new body of work meditates on this experience with the artist merging built forms, of concrete and bronze, with organic material.
