Sydney-based artist Jodie Whalen’s latest show ‘Dead Before It Began’ is a multi-sensory exhibition revealing her response to grief and feelings of melancholy in realising the limitations of fantasy in relation to one-sided love infatuations. The installation incorporates new works on paper and video on a purpose-built screen, with sound and scent specially formulated for the work.
