Sabbia Gallery presents the 22nd edition of its annual Masters of Glass exhibition series, showcasing some of Australia’s most influential artists; Clare Belfrage, Giles Bettison, Gabriella Bisetto, Chick Butcher, Maureen Cahill, Scott Chaseling, Cobi Cockburn, Benjamin Edols & Kathy Elliott, Judi Elliott, Deb Jones, Elizabeth Kelly, Gerry King, Tom Moore, Nick Mount, Kirstie Rea, Richard Whiteley, Maureen Williams and Robert Wynne.
Each year there is a different curatorial premise which allows the participating artists to experiment with their practice. The 2017 exhibition explores the notion of looking back and rethinking an original idea. Review allows the artists the opportunity to reflect upon their practice. They have each been asked to select a favourite artwork or series they have created and reinterpret the work in a contemporary context.
