Stanislava Pinchuk: The Theatre of War

Stanislava Pinchuk is a Ukrainian-Australian artist whose multidisciplinary visual practice incorporates drawing, installation, tattooing, film, and sculpture, sourced from materials collected and surveyed through fieldwork. Born and raised in Ukraine, educated in Melbourne, now living in Sarajevo, the artist investigates the changing topographies of war and conflict zones, exploring how landscape and geography can hold underlying memories of political discord and human rights violations.

The Theatre of War, a three-channel video work, explores Homer’s ancient war poem The Illiad, and references its ongoing relevance to current global conflict.
