Time For Drawing Workshops

Riversdale was designed by Glen Murcutt in association with Reg Lark and Wendy Lewin

 TIME FOR DRAWING – 17 to 20 July 2015
4-day Residential Drawing and Movement Studio at RIVERSDALE
Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre Riversdale Bundanon

How to begin? It is always a question. Again and again.

Let’s explore together over 4 days of drawing moving and living at ‘Riversdale’, the world renown architectural masterpiece and its magnificent river valley setting.

Mornings will begin with a somatic focus on mindfulness and movement to tune our perceptions and deepen our connection to ourselves and the world around us. Daily guided drawing practice will introduce different drawing techniques and themes to support participant’s learning at multiple levels of experience: physical, intellectual, imaginative and intuitive. Using pen and ink we will explore how this process changes the way we see and becomes visible in our drawings.

‘Time for Drawing’ is based on experiencing mindful embodiment. As we awaken our senses while listening with the whole body, we develop poetic sensibility and intuition, which enrich our understanding.

Drawing exercises, group discussions, breathing and movement practices: come and see what is possible
when we stop believing in limitations and enter drawing as a playful field of possibility and revelation.
