Tjala Arts, Ken Sisters Collaborative: Seven Sisters

‘Seven Sisters’ is a Tjukurpa story about the constellations of Pleiades (the sisters) and Orion the Nyiru or Nyirunya – a lusty, or bad man.

Known for their use of vibrant colour and energetic mark making, the Ken Sisters Collaborative – Tjungkara Ken, Yaritji Young, Freda Brady, Maringka Tunkin and Sandra Ken, together with Sylvia Ken, all artists from Tjala Arts centre in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands of South Australia – present a captivating visual narration of this ancient Aboriginal creation story.
