Working with clay, painting, digital imagery, and fabric design, Wadawurrung woman, artist, and cultural educator Dr Deanne Gilson explores personal healing and connection to her women’s business dating back to pre-colonisation. In this exhibition, paintings and textile works celebrate the growth and renewal that takes place across the six Wadawurrung seasons of her Dja (Country), with vibrant depictions of birds nesting in the cool season, flowers blooming with life, and the deep cultural knowledge embedded within the trees.
