Melbourne-based sculptural artist Sam Jinks is known for his extraordinary craftsmanship and ability to evoke quiet-yet-powerful moments. Drawing on our shared fascination with the human figure, his practice reflects upon deeply felt instances of our lived experience.
Here, for Mortal Reflections, the entire gallery space is transformed into an intimate contemporary art experience. Magical figures are held forever suspended within the uncanny realms of Jinks’ sculpted hyperrealism; imbued with raw vulnerability and unguarded emotion, viewers are invited to contemplate the beauty, fragility and mystery of the human condition.
