Megan Cope: Unbroken Connection

Quandamooka woman and artist Megan Cope presents new work developed during her 2020-2021 residency at Canberra Glassworks in ‘Unbroken Connection’. In this body of work, Cope explores her Peoples relationship with Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island); wider Quandamooka Country for thousands of years, and the unbroken connections between family and country. The unique display of glass-formed works includes 12 black glass shields created using the battuto technique to simulate hand-carved patterns of timber, alongside sand-blasted, etched and engraved pieces, and 100-year-old dugong bones cast in glass.
