‘Animal FanFair’ presents a selection of works that spotlight the changing relationships between humans and animals. The artists examine human nature and challenge us to think about how we treat animals, asking us to question the ethics of keeping, killing and engineering new species.
Artists Katka Adams, Marian Drew, Hayden Fowler, Kelly Hussey-Smith, Owen Hutchison, Claude Jones, Sam Leach, Emma Lindsay, Rod McRae and Walter Stahl have each broached the subject in their own way. By looking at these relationships from different angles they express their views through works in photography and moving image, performance art, painting, mixed media, print making, installation and sculpture.
