Founded by the Jugglers Art Space team in 2008, the BARI Festival is dedicated to the promotion and celebration of Brisbane’s Artist Run Initiatives, highlighting the cultural contribution of the city’s creatives with a series of events throughout October. Several of Brisbane’s ARI’s will provide workshops, forums, open studios, live entertainment and art exhibitions, displaying the depth of the city’s creative talent.
BARI’s aim is to support Brisbane Artist Run Initiatives, identifying the crucial contribution they make to the cultural fabric of the city, through the endorsement and cultivation of emerging artists. The festival will highlight the unique artistic output of several ARI’s, including, but not limited to; Jugglers Art Space Inc., The Fort, The Wandering Room, Love Love Studio, Boxcopy and The Tidy.
