Salamanca Arts Centre’s Long Gallery hosts Art for Takayna, powerful works created in the wild forests of Takayna, northwest Tasmania, by artists who participated in the annual Bob Brown Foundation forest residency.
Featuring paintings, photographs, music, and sculpture, the exhibition captures the beauty and urgency of this threatened landscape. All works are available for sale, with proceeds supporting frontline efforts to protect Takayna from logging and mining. This exhibition is more than art – it’s a call to action to defend one of the world’s last great temperate rainforests.
