Chris Denton: The Philosopher’s Cup

Denton’s prints and paintings reveal an aesthetic fusing of science, nature, spirituality and philosophy. His works are minutely observed and exquisitely executed. Denton suggests “this collection of works shows a continuation of my interest of the material object in space as a reflection upon notions of being and existence”.

Inspired by the scholarship of Einstein and early Renaissance artists such as Giotto, Denton investigates how objects operate in space and how this combines with the potential of perspective.
