Ipswich-based artist Christopher Bentley uses old video game systems, digital cameras and computers to explore the challenges of digital obsolescence.
Using a blend of interactive digital works, obsolete media and sculptural forms, Bentley presents works that interrogate our shifting relationship to legacy, memory and ownership. Reflecting on how quickly technology recedes into redundancy, and what this means for the stories and information we wish to pass on, just as the human body ages, fights and mutates, the artist shows us that tools we use to document our lives do too.
