The Collingwood Arts Precinct is one of Melbourne’s most reputable gallery precincts with multiple galleries presenting solo and group exhibitions throughout the year as well as having hosted numerous coordinated ‘Open Day’ and ‘Open Night’ events over the last five years. Now with seven commercial galleries in close proximity, the galleries of the Collingwood Arts Precinct represent many of Australia’s leading award winning artists as well as a significant number of exciting new emerging artists that are also making their mark in the Australian visual arts sector. The galleries of the Collingwood Arts Precinct are located between Derby St and Peel St and then East of Smith Street now past Wellington St to include the bluestone laneway, Glasshouse Road.
The Collingwood Arts Precinct will host its Spring Open Night, an intimate evening of exhibition openings, on Thursday 10 October, 2013, 6-8pm.
The Open Night events are a chance to discover and engage with some of Australia’s best representatives of indigenous art, modern art and contemporary art in Australia all on one night.

Each of the participating galleries are all within easy walking distance from one another. All of the galleries provide refreshments on the Open Night and will of course have a great range of fine art on view for those attending.
