‘Crafted Technology’ presents work by five contemporary craft and design practitioners. Artists Jane Bamford, Bin Dixon-Ward, Leah Heiss, Zhu Ohmu and Jess Taylor investigate the ways in which digital processes and technological advancements impact the development of art, craft and design, in an increasingly digitalised world.
The exhibition draws focus to the growing presence and achievements of women in the traditionally male-dominated field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and the contribution of the craft and design fields to this development.
