Tran won the $80,000 acquisitive prize for The giants are falling. As a tribute to Tasmania’s Mountain Ash, Tran used joss sticks – a Chinese incense – to burn into the paper; the world’s tallest flowering plant, seventeen of the largest trees have already been destroyed by fire between 2003 and 2019. Graham Wilson with Kunanyi Tors and Amanda Johnson with Colonial Heat 2: Panninher Country near Longford were Highly Commended.
