The 2024 Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize finalist exhibition features the works of 117 emerging and established women artists. The exhibition promises a diverse and visually captivating display with submissions revealing a prevalent trend of exploring materiality and the interplay and layering of various media, particularly evident in abstract works, including colour field, lyrical, geometric, and minimalist pieces, as well as innovative three-dimensional entries from ceramic jugs and porcelain teddy bears to continuous glass tubes of light, perched brass birds, and hanging synthetic fur and upcycled plastic sculptures.
