Drylands

This exhibition engages with the theme of dryland salinity in Western Australia as one of our greatest environmental threats, voraciously spread as a result of logging practices, monocultural farming, extractive practices, urban development and human-induced climate change.

Works by Jo Darbyshire, Valdene Diprose with Molly Ryan, Elizabeth Edmonds, Lindsay Harris, Clare McFarlane, Tania Spencer, Kate Turner, and Tony Windberg portray canola fields in full bloom, dry, lone trees and empty, scarred landscapes – highlighting our land in peril and challenging us to take action. Part of Perth Festival 2025.
