Communication – speaking directly, indirectly, looking for meaning, double meanings and breakdowns – is taken as a point of departure in Direct, Directed, Directly. Drawing together Australian and international artists working across installation, performance, moving image and sound, the exhibition – installed across two levels and presented as part of Adelaide Festival 2025 – believes catharsis to be found in the absurdity and humour of attempts to connect.
