Teo Treloar: A Void A Maze

Wollongong-based artist Teo Treloar is known for his finely rendered graphite drawings, in which a floating solitary male figure frequently appears – as the artist’s ongoing existential emblem of alienation and paranoia.

A Void A Maze draws together drawings created over the last two decades and includes, as its centrepiece, Journal archive, a collection of sketchbooks stitched together as each one is completed. This capsule of drawings and its accompanying print edition was recently acquired by the gallery, offering a rare glimpse into the artist’s private world and process.
