A new and fresh-faced series of exhibitions named Project QUAD will be launching on Australia Day this year with their premier exhibition Gestures of Trust. Based on both the success of opening nights and the construct of ‘pop up’ galleries, these exhibitions will be one-day-only events intertwined with art, music, food and friends.
Gestures of Trust includes new artworks by both local and international artists Angus Baird (exhibited in Spain, Berlin and London, his latest show sold out), Renee Cosgrave (whose work has featured in Next Wave, Melbourne Art Fair) Sabine Kongsted (Denmark) and Magda Wysocka (Poland). Thematically the exhibition responds to the notion that trust is gestural, a form that binds common meaning to human and social relations. Without trust relationships would not be able to build restore or transform.
