Bringing together contemporary craft objects that appeal to Gothic sensibilities, this exhibition showcases the work of fourteen artists – working across ceramics, jewellery, glass, fibres, and multimedia. Works feature aesthetic cues, motifs, and symbols honouring the Gothic tradition, while also reimagining it through contemporary artistic voices, which show that darkness can be a path to creativity, knowledge, and illumination.
Artists: Welfe Bowyer, Claybia, Emma Davies, Belinda Guerin, Harriet Geater Johnson, Nicolette Johnson, Alicia Hannah Naomi, Karlien van Rooyen, Ebony Russell, Regine Schwarzer, Emma Shepherd, Drew Spangenberg, Alex Valero, and Julie Winn.
