I Loved You

Dedicated to all the hopeless romantics, I Loved You reminds us that love turns up in unexpected places as twenty-eight artists show us that the romantic feeling can be a time, a place, or even a memory. Its traces can be found on our father’s wristwatch, our lover’s skin, or our grandparent’s home.

Sin Wai Kin and Qiu Jiongjiong prove that love isn’t always restricted by gender. Written in a drug haze, Shi Yong immortalises the fevered poetry of his friend in a pool of red neon lights. And Song Dong ponders, “what is the minimum space we need?” recreating his tiny childhood home usingan obsolete telephone with small cabinets and a large wardrobe fitted with living essentials, including a toilet.
