Continuing the focus on works from the Newcastle Art Gallery collection, ‘Interior lives’ brings together works of art that depict domestic spaces – inhabited or vacant.
This intimate focus brings together photography, painting and works on paper by some of Australia’s most significant artists including Jane Burton, Grace Cossington Smith, Brian Dunlop and Fiona Hall. These familiar yet haunting images redefine the domestic space into an entirely different realm.
