This exhibition, the ninth for artist James Gleeson at Charles Nodrum Gallery since 2000, celebrates the remarkable work of the late surrealist painter with a selection of paintings and watercolours drawn from the Gleeson O’Keefe Foundation, which is managed by the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The display includes oils from the 1990s and watercolours Gleeson worked on in 2008, his final year, when he turned his focus from the production of large-scale paintings to works on paper.
