Scottish artist Jim Lambie is known for colourful aluminium wall sculptures and vibrant floor vinyl installations – creating immersive environments that can also be read as three-dimensional paintings.
Having last exhibited in Sydney in 2019, Cool Breeze presents a suite of new wall sculptures from his ‘Metal Box’ series alongside a new white and chrome floor vinyl extending across the floors of both gallery spaces. New resin works incorporating submerged sunglass lenses – shown for the first time in Australia – are also presented, together with site-responsive sculptures made using objects found locally.
