This exhibition examines the late modernist Minimal art movement and its counterpoint Post-Minimalism within Australian art, from the 1960s till today. Characterised visually by the extreme simplicity of its geometric, modular forms, its hard surfaces and use of industrial materials, Minimal Art emerged first in the USA but its influence was felt around the globe.
Artists include: Robert Jacks, Mikala Dwyer, Nigel Lendon and Elizabeth Gower alongside works by American artists such as Dan Flavin, Donald Judd and Robert Morris.
