Michael Meszaros: 50 Years as a Sculptor

For 50 years, local Boroondara sculptor Michael Meszaros has worked primarily in bronze, fabricated copper and stainless steel, to produce 39 major works, numerous reliefs, plaques, memorials, trophies, exhibition and garden works, and over 600 medals.

Celebrating Meszaros’ career as a full-time, self-supporting artist, this exhibition features a collection of previously commissioned specialty medals created for prizes, awards, centenaries and unveilings, as well as more personal works and portraits. Newly commissioned pieces are also on display, alongside a commemorative video of major public works.
