Mossgreen announces the launch of new space for artists

The merger between Mossgreen and Charles Leski was announced earlier in the year, as was their subsequent purchase of, and extensive renovations to the historic Armadale Picture Theatre in Melbourne.  The move is part of Mossgreen’s vision to become Australia’s first all-department prestige auction house and gallery, offering in-house expertise in just about every collecting category of items sold in this country.

Mossgreen’s stable of 20 artists, includes Michael Johnson, Yvonne Audette and Charles Blackman, and the gallery now have the benefit of four exhibition spaces which will hold exhibitions on monthly rotation throughout the year. The Mossgreen Gallery is an increasingly important part of the business and the directors are delighted to be dedicating a greater space and state-of-the-art facilities to their artists.

Managing Director, Paul Sumner, comments “We are delighted to be able to offer what we believe is one of the best viewing spaces for artists and collectors in the country.” He continues “Mossgreen Gallery is an increasingly important part of our business and we are delighted to be able to dedicate greater space to the gallery in our wonderful new premises.”

The gallery has settled into its new home in Armadale. The historic Armadale Picture Theatre has been brought back to life with extensive renovations and restorations completed over recent months. Mossgreen Gallery, established in 2004, exhibits and promotes approximately 20 Australian artists, including painters, sculptors, ceramicists and artists working in a multitude of media.
