New premises for Annette Larkin Fine Art

In a time when the ‘bad news’ stories of hard economic conditions and retracting economic markets seems to dominate the news cycle, it is exciting to report the launch of Annette Larkin Fine Art’s new and expanded gallery space.

Since 2006, Annette Larkin Fine Art has operated as a specialist art consultancy, dealing in secondary market sales and consignments, nestled amongst the primary market commercial galleries of the 2 Danks Street art precinct of Sydney’s Waterloo. Out growing their original space, which operated more like a private viewing room, Annette Larkin Fine Art seized the opportunity to move into a neighbouring gallery space, formally Stella Downer Fine Art.

Following a reconfiguration of the existing gallery space, Annette Larkin Fine Art last month launched the new space with a bumper group exhibition ‘Winter 2013’. The exhibition shows the scale at which Annette Larkin Fine Art can now exhibit and present the artworks taken on by consignment while simultaneously presenting the often important pieces to the general public.

The ‘Winter 2013’ exhibition features an outstanding selection of many prominent contemporary artists, including Rosemary Laing, William Kentridge, Dale Frank, Robert Macpherson, Tracey Moffatt, John Olsen, Bill Henson, Aida Tomescu, Tim Johnson, Daniel Crooks, Julie Fragar, Susan Norrie, Tim Johnson, Sean Cordeiro and Claire Healy, Robert MacPherson, Shaun Gladwell, Sean Scully, Rick Amor, William Robinson, Daniel Boyd, and Russell Drysdale. The exhibition explores a broad showcase of influential work across different media of the last twenty years of contemporary art.
