‘Numinosity’ brings together the work of contemporary artists Belle Bassin, Wanda Gillespie, Veronica Kent and Sean Peoples, and Belinda Winkler, who interrogate the life, soul and energy of their artistic material in distinct ways. ‘Numinosity’ looks beyond the limitations of everyday rational activity, touching on ideas of spiritualism, meditative and hypnogogic states, but exist outside any particular religious tradition. Featured works awaken a sense of the mysterious dealing with subject matter such as the subconscious, dreams, animism, curvature and projected tension.
