OzAsia Festival

From the 21st of this month and reaching into the first week of October the ‘OzAsia Festival’ is dedicated to connecting us with contemporary practice in Asia from music, dance, film and conversations to theatre and visual art. Four-hundred community artists will join 350 professional artists throughout the showcase. A major highlight of the festival is ‘After Utopia: Revisiting the Ideal in Asian Contemporary Art’ on display at Adelaide’s Anne & Gordon Samstag Museum of Art from 22 September to 1 December. ‘After Utopia’ explores the concept of ceaseless human endeavor and has travelled from the Singapore Art Museum, marking the first occasion for the works to be shown in Australia.
