PIAF – Perth International Arts Festival 2016 Visual Arts Program

The ‘Perth International Arts Festival’ has an extensive Visual Arts line up for 2016. Founded in 1953 by the University of Western Australia, the event is the longest running international arts festival in Australia. The festival connects with over 500,000 people each year in Perth and the Great Southern.

With its worldwide reputation for excellence in its international program, audiences are presented with works by around 800 leading artists from countries including Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Greece, the USA and Australia. The program is diverse with ideas linking though visceral and performative approaches to artmaking. There will be major solo exhibitions by artists who have not previously exhibited in Western Australia along with new works created for the Festival and local initiatives.
