‘Green Like Suomenlinna’ is a vibrant collection of works by artist Ruth Waller using a colour palette reflecting plant life she found on the island of Suomenlinna, off Helsinki during the summer of 2015. The artist gathered clumps of moss and tiny succulents growing across rocks from which she recreated into series of miniature gardens that were the inspiration for most of these works.
“It was the greenest place I had ever seen – in certain glades the air itself seemed gaseously green.” – Ruth Waller
