Shaping Space | Holding Space is a group exhibition that explores one of the fundamental principles of ceramics – the manipulation of space. Space can be interpreted in both a literal and abstract sense, and each artist has chosen to explore it through their own lens.
Exhibiting works envisage space in terms of self-care, contemplate what is absent in the present, explore the cityscapes of our unconscious minds, and examine the impact these spaces have on our environments and their relevance within the works themselves.
